Hamilton-Wenham opened their season with a 7-4 victory on the road at Danvers Monday afternoon. In a hard fought game, the Generals were able to control play at both ends throughout much of the game.

Offensively, H-W was led by senior midfielder Joe Lattanzi's hat-trick. Junior Griffin Barlow scored a pair of goals while junior Andrew Riccio contributed two assist. Callen Strong collected a goal and an assist, and sophomore Sam Webber had a strong game in his first start as a face-off midfielder.

Sophomore long-stick midfielder Clint Gourdeau, junior goalie Mayo Amorello, junior defenseman Zane Clark, and senior defensemen Julian Murray-Brown and Bradley Caccivio had solid games on the defensive end of the field for the Generals.

Next up for H-W is a trip to Woburn on Wednesday, while Danvers will host North Reading Thursday afternoon.
